Is it Time for a New Splinter Cell?

Added: 17.08.2015 9:20 | 45 views | 0 comments

"In 2013, Splinter Cell: Blacklist came out of nowhere to return the franchise to what made it so great. A combination of Xbox exclusivity and poor reviews meant before Blacklist, I hadnt taken Sam Fisher out for a ride since he was on the PS2. The reasons for Splinter Cells fall from grace isn't especially difficult to nail down. In the days of Call of Dutys dominance and development by focus groups, turning a stealth game into a shooter made sense because it was all about the mass appeal. If you alienate your core fan base in the process, its only a small group of basement dwellers that wouldnt know mass appeal if it jumped down from a conveniently placed pipe and broke their necks. -- PlayStation Enthusiast

While you may not think of Square Enix and Call of Duty in the same sentence, Square Enix has publishing Call of Duty games in Japan since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Activison and Square Enixs partnership extended to bring over Blur, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark and Skylanders: Spryos Adventure. This year, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia is handling Call of Duty: Black Ops III. The Japanese version will include an option for dubbed Japanese voices and subtitles on one disc. This is different from Square Enixs Call of Duty releases which are sold as two different versions, subtitled and dubbed.

Mega Cheril Perils Coming to Sega Genesis and Mega Drive thanks to Mojon Twins

Added: 16.08.2015 22:18 | 10 views | 0 comments

Carl Williams writes, "New Sega Genesis games are becoming more and more prevalent for some reason. Could it be because the Motorola 68000 chip is easier to program for, and more widely used in gaming consoles/computers of the past? Could it be just a love of the platform? I am not sure but I am not complaining either. More games means there are more chances of a gem to be released. The Mojon Twins are known for quality releases on many platforms, surely Mega Cheril Perils will be no different. Fans of 2D side scrolling action affairs such as El Viento, Blades of Vengeance, etc should be in for a treat with Mega Cheril Perils."
