Ken McKown writes: The stealth genre has never been front-runner for my favorite type of game. Sure I have enjoyed various Splinter Cell titles, and Metal Gear Solid is my all-time favorite series, but the idea of patience in a game has never clicked very well for me. Combine that with the fact that Styx isnt exactly a household name, and this latest ID@Xbox title did little to excite me upon its release. That is until I sat down and played it.

Eric from We Got This Covered wrote:
Fans of traditional stealth-based games have had a rough go of it over the past few years. Genre stalwarts such as Splinter Cell and Hitman have embraced more action-oriented gameplay, while former critical darling Thief returned with a flop earlier this year. This has left developers such as Arkane Studios (Dishonored) and The Creative Assembly (Alien: Isolation) with the opportunity to pick up the slack. Another developer, Cyanide Studios, is now looking to make a name for themselves in the genre with their latest effort, Styx: Master of Shadows.
