It hit 7:00 AM GMT, the time when the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Heavensward pre-orders went live on the Square Enix store, and unsurprisingly the website is now displaying a database error message after briefly being available with the preorder. The message then changed to the now-familiar system maintenance message. It appears that even staggering the release of all of the different editions could not prevent the website from being overloaded by eager fans trying to purchase the Collectors Edition. UPDATE: Just over an hour later, the store is back up and running. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
