News: The Last of Us sold between 700k and 1.1 million at US launch

Figures revealed in latest NPDs, Nintendo pleased with digital sales of Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
NPD analyst Liam Callahan told GamesIndustry that The Last of Us is Sony's second-biggest first month for a PS3 title, behind the 1.1 million selling God of War 3. We also know that Naughty Dog's Uncharted 3 sold 700,000 copies on its first month, placing sales for The Last of Us somewhere between the two.
The Last of Us sold 3.4 million copies worldwide as of July 3.
Nintendo says that Animal Crossing sold 505,000 copies in June, with over 20 per cent sold via the eShop.
