GameZone writes, "Yesterday, we speculated that Nintendo would announce an Animal Crossing: New Leaf-themed 3DS XL hardware bundle during today's Nintendo Direct. The U.K. retailer ShopTo had a listing for the bundle, which it promptly removed, but not before the whole internet saw it. Somebody over there jumped the gun posting it, potentially spoiling an announcement by Nintendo.
During Nintendo Direct, it was confirmed that the bundle will be releasing on June 14th"

The above, Animal Crossing: New Leaf-themed 3DS is no longer going to be exclusive to Japan. Hooray! It's coming to North America on June 9th (alongside the launch of the game) and will cost $219.99 with the game preinstalled. Who plans to pick it up?

Digital copy of New Leaf to come pre-installed on special Animal Crossing 3DS XL.
The bundle includes a pre-installed digital copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf and features an Animal Crossing-themed design on its outer shell.
As normal for Nintendo hardware, Nintendo has not announced a price for the special edition console, but early retailer listings point to an £199.99 RRP.
Rumours of an Animal Crossing 3DS XL surfaced yesterday after a listing appeared on UK retailer ShopTo.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf launches on Nintendo 3DS on June 14.
