Feature: Why the Sherlock Holmes games are the anti-Crysis

There's a new Sherlock Holmes game on the way, and given the developer's track record it may very well look, sound, and run like bobbins. Great, says Steve Burns.

'So what?', you're probably thinking, airily batting away slight recollections of the previous games, maybe remembering seeing them on the shelf and thinking that they looked lower budget than most homemade porn films (you're probably right). This news may not be important to you, and neither really is it to me. Well, not in the sense that it would enable us to live forever, or prevent another world war, or invent a program that deletes both YouTube comments and their creators. It is, however, akin to finding a tenner in an old pair of jeans. Pleasantly surprising, like the games...

The Directors Cut is a single-location thriller says Yescombe, Its about figuring out what the Qube is, and why youre inside it. Lyne (SteamFirst Review) Ill Walk The Lyne With You

Added: 31.03.2014 2:15 | 10 views | 0 comments

SteamFirst: The best games out there take advantage of the platform they are on. Crysis makes use of the constantly evolving hardware of the PC so it was a state-of -the-art experience for years to come. Tearaway uses the Playstation Vitas front and rear touch screen to create something that cannot be played on anything else. Kinect Adventures takes advantage of the fact that I was stupid enough to buy a Kinect and thus have no sense of shame. Thomas Bowkers Lyne (released to Steam March 17,2014) does having this specific tailoring. While a great game in its own right, Steam is not quite the best fit for this one.
