Tom says, "Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is a Nintendo game. Okay, fine, thats stating the obvious, but aside from being a game published by Nintendo that stars one of Nintendos many iconic characters, it is a game that is unmistakably Nintendo from top to bottom. Technicolor palette? Check. Unusual art style? Check. Deceptively deep platforming? Check. A grown-up game in a kiddie games package?
Check. Maybe."

| Kirby and the Rainbow Curse Review - Who Knew Drawing Would Be This Fun | Gamer Headlines

Gamer Headlines writes: "Ill confess: Ive never played a Kirby game to its completion. In fact, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is the first game in the series where I found myself invested right from the get-go, which is strange considering that the pink, air-sucking protagonists first release on the Wii U is quite a conventional departure. Borrowing enormously from its 2005 Nintendo DS spiritual predecessor Kirby: Canvas Curse, Rainbow Curse is a genuinely charming and addicting experience that fully utilizes the Wii U GamePads touch screen, and made me realize how enjoyable a video game could be even with the simplest of mechanics who knew constantly drawing lines and tapping a screen would be this fun and intuitive? That said, this can become quite repetitive to a certain degree, and the emphasis on looking at the tablet-like controllers screen will definitely make you wonder why this was released on a home console in the first place."

TJ:
There seems to be no ends to the things Kirby can be. Hes been made of string, hes been dozens of tiny versions of himself, hes been a pinball, and hes probably been some other things that I could tell you about if I did my research. In his latest adventure, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Nintendos beloved pink swallowgoblin has become a malleable construct of clay. It doesnt matter why he is clay, he just is, and Im perfectly okay with that because it turns out clay is a fantastic look.
