DICE has listened to our feedback for the Commander App on Android and iOS devices in the Battlefield 4 forums. The new update includes many bug fixes, UI updates and it will be easier to get squad details.

As much as battlefield 3 was loved, there have been far greater problems with battlefield 4 that just do not seem to get fixed. The acclaimed multiplayer game from DICE has been one of the biggest disappointments of the last year.

The DLC had originally been scheduled to launch on Tuesday, but was hit by a last minute delay after a major animation issue was discovered. The PC release is still not expected until early April.

Alongside the expansion pack (which includes four new maps and a brand new mode), DICE has also rolled out a new patch featuring a range of netcode tweaks and stability improvements. It's also added Gold Battlepacks as a reward for Class Service Stars, allowing players to continue earning Battlepacks once they've reached the level cap.

Animation bug pushes third expansion pack into April.

Confirmation follows yesterday's news that the expansion had been delayed on PC due to an issue discovered late in development, which DICE says could "increase performance issues on mid-range to high-end PCs".

The problem with the Xbox One release, meanwhile, appears to be linked to issues with the animation system that could "hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations.

"We know that many Battlefield 4 Premium owners wanted to play Naval Strike today," DICE added. "However, we didn't want to release the new content...
