Sony Japan Picks Up Call Of Duty Publishing From Square Enix

Added: 17.08.2015 8:18 | 11 views | 0 comments

While you may not think of Square Enix and Call of Duty in the same sentence, Square Enix has publishing Call of Duty games in Japan since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Activison and Square Enixs partnership extended to bring over Blur, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark and Skylanders: Spryos Adventure. This year, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia is handling Call of Duty: Black Ops III. The Japanese version will include an option for dubbed Japanese voices and subtitles on one disc. This is different from Square Enixs Call of Duty releases which are sold as two different versions, subtitled and dubbed.

Guerrilla started work on Horizon before Killzone Shadow Fall

Added: 17.08.2015 5:18 | 36 views | 0 comments

Back in the heady days of 2013, PS4 was but a next-gen nipper with stars in its eyes. When the plucky black box from Sony made its debut in November of that year, it came with a slew of launch titles including the fourth full-fat instalment from Guerrilla's Killzone series Shadow Fall. It certainly looked the business (and offered plenty of free DLC), but it wasn't quite the non-linear experience we'd all been sold on. Fast-forward almost two years and the Dutch studio is hard at work on its next project, Horizon: Zero Dawn a game it turns out the developer started work on before its last Helghast bashing bonanza

Curses N Chaos to Remind Gamers of Classic Arcade Days on Playstation 4 and PS Vita

Added: 16.08.2015 21:18 | 7 views | 0 comments

Carl Williams writes, "The glory days of arcade gaming are all but forgotten now as an even younger generation of gamers (one that has no memory of life before the Internet) is taking charge in gaming. There are still a few of us left that remember dropping quarters into the latest SNK title (may I mention prior to the whole fighting game craze when SNK was original?). Seeing those graphics that the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis couldnt touch was just something magical, not to mention the musical capabilities of the Neo Geo hardware. Those were the days when every so often a visit to the local arcade yielded a surprise discovery of a new arcade game by Capcom, Konami, Sega, SNK or one of many others vying for our quarters. Tribute Games remembers those days quite well and they are proving it with their upcoming title, Curses N Chaos for the Playstation 4 and PS Vita."

'The Taken King' Is Turning 'Destiny' Into A Game For Casuals

Forbes: I dont understand Destinys success. Or rather, I dont understand the ferocity of its fans. Perhaps this is simply the curmudgeon in me, the gamer that never quite understood or liked the things that make massively multiplayer online games what they are today. I dont understand why every tidbit of Destiny news is so voraciously devouredwhether thats simply news that you can buy the awkwardly named Gjallarhorn at the intrepid merchant Xur, or that said weapon and its brother Thorn are getting nerfed. Ive never felt particularly attached to a weapon in a video game, except for maybe the Balder Side Sword in Dark Souls. But even that, I wouldnt expect to read about in multiple gaming outlets multiple times a year.
