Review: Rollers of the Realm (PlayStation 4) - Push Square

Added: 22.12.2014 12:11 | 10 views | 0 comments

Pushsquare: "There are some unusual mash-ups of game genres out there that are either smashing successes or faltering failures. There are RPG third-person shooters like Mass Effect, hack-n-slash action RPGs such as Darksiders II, and then theres something like Destiny, an MMORPG open world first-personwell, you get the gist of what were saying. Whenever game developers attempt to mix things up, their projects turn into riskier wild cards, as its tough to predict how gamers will respond to the end result. And thats where Rollers of the Realm comes in a pinball game that replaces many of its conventional aspects with you guessed it RPG components. Its a puzzling genre blend, but does it offer a confused conglomeration of half-baked ideas or is this eccentric title a fascinating foray into a new genre that brings much promise to the future of pinball?"

Lords Of The Fallen Review | Codec Moments

Added: 08.11.2014 23:11 | 13 views | 0 comments

Cev at Codec Moments writes: "Developed by CI Games and Deck13 Interactive, Lords Of The Fallen is third person action RPG. Seemingly a combination of series such as From Softwares Souls games, and the now non-existent THQs Darksiders, Lords Of The Fallen takes inspiration from a great many places and amalgamates them into something of its own with the ever familiar dark medieval fantasy backdrop. Now I cant really speculate in regards to Darksiders similarities outside of the aesthetic as I played very little of its first instalment, and what I saw didnt exactly wow me (though I plan to give it another chance when other seemingly more awesome stuff stops coming out/existing). However, I love both the Dark and Demonic efforts of From so far and this is not that."

MX vs. ATV: Supercross Review | WGTC

Added: 05.11.2014 19:12 | 4 views | 0 comments

Chad from We Got This Covered wrote: When news of THQs dissolution started to make its rounds, sharks began to circle around its most notable intellectual properties. Nordic Games a smaller fish that is trying to make a name for itself was one of said bidders, and has undeniably walked away as the victor. Not only did the company obtain the fantastic Darksiders license, but it also managed to scoop up Red Faction, de Blob and MX vs. ATV. Its the latter franchise that well be talking about now, though, because its the first to see a release under its new publishing agreement.

Review: Lords of the Fallen (PS4) | G3AR

Added: 04.11.2014 14:11 | 9 views | 0 comments

G3AR: "Its easy to be mislead by Lords of the Fallen. Judging it by demonstrations of gameplay weve seen up until its release, you would think that its a hack-and-slash version of Dark Souls (think Dark Souls inspired Darksiders or Dark Soulsiders if you will), but you would be gravely mistaking. While the game is touted as Dark Souls for noobs, it is still very much unforgiving, and in the words of the games executive producer, Tomasz Gop, the aim was to make the game challenging but accessible, approachable. So expect to die. A lot. Just less than you would in Dark Souls."
