GameInformer: "I enjoyed the first Darksiders almost in spite of itself. Its take on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse was like a heshers fever dream, with hilariously buff and armored dudes fighting demons in a bombed-out wasteland. It was a great Zelda clone, though, in spite of its silliness. I was looking forward to the sequel, but a game-breaking glitch killed my progress a few hours in. And with that, another game got stacked onto the backlog. But unlike a lot of games on that stack, I actually circled back to it."

Otaku Dome: Back in 2013 Aus gaming publisher Nordic Games ended up buying two of THQs key franchises; Darksiders and Red Faction they also snagged MX vs ATV as well. Many were left disappointed by the acquisition as they feared that a second sequel to the cult hit Darksiders would be replaced in favor of a reboot, however Nordic reassured fans that a sequel would indeed be the next entry in the franchise, however there was some sour with this sweet, as they confirmed that gamers shouldnt expect the sequel until 2015 at the earliest. While no news on the dormant Red Faction franchise was given, it was at least good to know that Darksiders 3 was perhaps their top priority out of the two AAA properties, and it was even in what may be the early stages of development.

Just when you had thought the Wii U was completely worthless, Darksiders 2 steps up to the lonely console, puts its arm around its freakishly wide shoulders and says Hey! The Wii U is a decent platform and Im going to prove it! A valiant deed but does Darksiders 2 succeed? Darksiders 2 is a direct sequel to Darksiders, a boring hack and slash that had an amazing setting and great ideas. Darksiders 2 thankfully ditches all the mistakes that marred the first and focuses instead on creating a smooth hack and slash that blends perfectly with Legend of Zelda style dungeon exploring and puzzle solving.
