R.I.P.D.: The Game (PS3) | FTG Review

Added: 26.07.2013 1:19 | 0 views | 0 comments

FTG Writes: Nick Walker is betrayed by his long-time partner, but upon being transported to the afterlife, hes given a position with the R.I.P.D. (Rest In Peace Department). In a classic old world meets new world scenario, Nick must quickly learn how to handle this new futuristic world and battle the Deados (the afterlifes renegade souls), with his new partner Roy Pulsipher. If all youre hearing right now is a mediocre buddy cop movie plot, youre right! R.I.P.D. is a (wannabe) summer blockbuster that also has its own game tie-in. Unfortunately, like the movie of the same name, itll go forever waning and craving to be more than it truly is.

Well, Zach, it looks like we're about to embark on another grand adventure. Just you and me, buddy. Apparently PC gamers want to know more about our latest case in Greenvale. You remember the one? That's right. It was about that town beauty who was found dead in the woods. They turned it into a video game called Deadly Premonition and, thanks to this little thing called Steam Greenlight, it looks like we'll be making a trip to the PC soon.

Deadly Premonition: Directors Cut | MSS Review

MSS writes: Deadly Premonition is almost an even split between dreadful and masterful. Its effectiveness as an experience is highly subjective, but from a personal perspective it left a lasting impression on me and that hasnt happened in a very long time.

Deadly Premonition Review | One Gamer

Its rare that a game comes along thats so stuffed with new ideas, and while Deadly Premonition doesnt have the budget to quite do them all justice, its well worth the (reduced) price of admission.

oprainfall Review: Deadly Premonition: The Directors Cut

Added: 20.07.2013 12:17 | 14 views | 0 comments

oprainfall writes: Deadly Premonition, even in its improved Directors Cut form, will not win any beauty contests. And some parts of it are much furiating than theyre worth, especially the endless driving and harsh quick-time events. But this game more than makes up for its last-gen looks and occasional gameplay hiccups by masterfully creating a genuinely creepy atmosphere with an absurdly comic flip side in a vast open world. Under the sometimes ugly facade is a polarizing masterpiece of bizarre niche gaming on par with anything SWERY65s idol Suda 51 has done. If anything, Deadly Premonition is much like Yorks beverage of choice. Like a strong coffee, it will leave a terrible taste in some gamers mouths, but those looking for a quick pick-me-up should at least give it a try. And then, there are countless others, such as myself, who end up not knowing what they could ever do without it. If you want a game thats out of the ordinary, dont hesitate to look at Deadl...
