Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut for PlayStation 3 is a mess. It’s a bizarre, endearing, nearly broken, intriguing, ugly, wonderful mess. What Deadly Premonition has going for it are a generally great soundtrack, an engrossing and often complex story, one of the most interesting lead characters to ever grace a video game and lots of wonderful ideas.

Its rare that you can enjoy a bad game in the same way as a bad movie, because the fact that you have to physically interact with it rather than simply sit back and laugh makes poor graphics, controls and gameplay oddities a struggle, and the joke soon wears thin.
