The graphics are laughable, the gameplay bland and repetitive, the basic mechanics borderline broken and the script filled with (hopefully intentional) cheesy lines. It is, by almost any measure, a terrible game. Except it isnt. Although theres hardly a single thing it does right, youll probably play Deadly Premonition right through to the end. You might do all the side quests. Youll probably recommend it to your friends. And when you do, and they ask whats so great about..."

Modern Zorker writes, "By now its common knowledge that Deadly Premonition as it was released on the 360 in 2010 is one of the most divisive games ever published. Its rare that you can enjoy a bad game in the same way as a bad movie, because the fact that you have to physically interact with it rather than simply sit back and laugh makes poor graphics, controls and gameplay oddities a struggle, and the joke soon wears thin. Yet, Deadly Premonition, with its mix of awful and genius, pulled this off."
