Rely on Horror: On this Whispers podcast a slew of confusing thoughts are thrown around. Classic, offensive games and a re-release of the cult classic Deadly Premonition are discussed; we talk about the legacy of Eternal Darkness and our concerns with its spiritual sequel; how Ghost on Mars deserves a sequel; and we talk about The Evil Within and whether it will harken back to classic survival horror.

Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut isn't a through fix. Although improvement on controls is good, stuttering frame rate can be bad. Still, Deadly Premonition is interesting. Judging from normal standard, its a total mess: shabby audio effects and visuals, functional best battle mechanics and clumsy and dull simple actions like navigating and driving. However, Deadly Premonition is a great game of all times with its exclusive rule.

In case you havent already figured it out, Deadly Premonition is the kind of game that mechanics aside you play because its just too damn engrossing to put down. What seems at first to seem to simply be Twin Peaks: The Game gradually finds its own identity, often due to a sense of fascinating Japanese appropriation to American culture (and whose Lynch impression feels somehow more genuine than the Western-developed Alan Wakes generic sensibilities).

Though there is still alot of flaws that plague the game, it is worh picking up, but hopefully Rising Star will have some sort of patch to fix some of these issues. Whether you are taking a trip down memory lane or it is your first time in Greenvale, the cost of admission is worth this fantastic horror ride.
