Destiny servers are going to be offline for quite a while on Thursday as Bungie has schedule some serious maintenance for those servers. It seems likely that the company is working hard to make sure that everything goes smoothly when The Taken King launches later this month. For those who were planning on getting some big Destiny play time in on Thursday, September 3 you better change your plans as the maintenance will run through the middle of the day.

Bungie is getting ready to release the biggest Destiny expansion yet with The Taken King. It introduces a ton of new content, such as additional story missions, strikes, maps, and plenty of other goodies. There will also be a new raid, but it won't come out on launch day.
