Game Informer - Test Chamber Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

Added: 26.04.2013 16:18 | 0 views | 0 comments

Game Informer - One of my favorite things about Dragons Dogma is how quickly things can get out of hand if you aren't careful. Fortunately for you, the viewer, that very thing happens as I show off the game's expansion to Tim and Reiner. Watch and learn how to cheese your way through an early menace.

EGM: "The content added to Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen over the original Dragons Dogma might not be enough for previous players to be able to justify buying the game for a second time. For those who missed out on Dragons Dogma the first time around, however, this is a great way to finally give the game a shot."

Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen PS3 review Expandalone quest has Miyazaki on its mind OPM

OPM One hour into your adventure in the Bitterblack Isle a testing new chunk of Dragons Dogma with a moody colour palette, low ceilings and devilish enemies you hit a wall. Down in the depths, guarding a Void Key you need to go even further down into said dungeon, with his nine health bars, is a Cyclops-Golem beast who laughs in the face of your level-76 assassin. He smashes your pawns to dust, and depletes every Curative you own. He is Dragons Dogmas own attempt at a Dark Souls boss.

Almost a year ago, Capcom released a surprising original IP. The legendry company expanded its reach in the world of video games to release an open world hack and slash game that they hoped would turn into another successful franchise. That game was Dragons Dogma. Dragons Dogma was met with moderate commercial and critical success yet it still found a following. Now, Capcom is releasing a full disc expansion called Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen. Will the new features allow the game to rise to success or descend into darkness? Find out in our review!

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Review: Beggar's Bargain | Polygon

Added: 24.04.2013 0:18 | 20 views | 0 comments

Polygon: "Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen could have reached new fans and old alike. It was a chance for Capcom to lock in an audience for this burgeoning franchise. But poor balance and careless design limit its appeal to a tiny group of the most hardcore. The original Dragon's Dogma didn't completely succeed in its attempt to emulate Western, open-world RPGs. Dark Arisen makes a much greater mistake: It fails to recognize or capitalize on its own strengths."
