DS: Broken Age Act 1 was a tough act to follow. Its dual narrative was filled with mystery, humour and just an overall charming quality that made both halves of its world a joy to inhabit. Double Fine then capped off Act 1 with a fantastic cliffhanger of an ending, leaving fans eager for their chance to return to our heroes Vella and Shay, and their contrasting journeys through adolescence. Now, after a long wait, Broken Age Act 2 has finally arrived. And while Act 2 does manage to answer all of the lingering questions from the first half, the revelations never live up to the intrigue Act 1 seemed to promise.

DS: Double packs are not often looked upon too kindly by the self-proclaimed 'hardcore' sects of the gaming crowd. Largely this is due to suspicion in the form of, 'If these games are any good, why not release them separately?' Cynical that line of thinking may be, but it's wholly understandable considering the price of a videogame compared to other entertainment mediums. People want quality from each purchase, and bundling two games in one doesn't typically demonstrate that a publisher has full confidence in its product(s).
