DuckTales Remastered, the upcoming HD console remake of the original Ducktales, has been in the works for quite a while. The first conversations about the game go all the way back to early 2010, says Capcom USAs Senior Vice-President Christian Svensson.

I could just write it off at that and be done; but, WayForward, best known as the developer that makes magic a reality through fantastic animations and unbelievable sprite art, once again creates a world lifted straight out of the "DuckTales" cartoon. "DuckTales Remastered" has been lovingly recreated with with beautifully recreated backgrounds referencing the cartoon and reimagining the old game in full HD graphics. Bewteen the pogo jump, run cycles, and hop and bop action, the animations are so perfect that's it's like playing Disney magic.

After hearing that DuckTales and Castle of Illusion were getting HD remakes, GamesBeat decided to celebrate by listing some of the other old-school Disney games that deserve a little modern polish. But be careful! Those rose-tinted (and Mickey Mouse-shaped) glasses may make every 8-bit adventure look like a historic masterpiece, but plenty of those old Disney releases were outright terrible. Below are three of the worst. All of them deserve an HD remake about as badly as Goofy deserves a doctorate.

"The spirit of it is trying to capture the original level as much as you can, leaving out what might've been mistakes or might be bugs, and then we're trying like a 70/30% split, adding 30% more unique content to the levels themselves, but not ruining what the original style is."
