Square Enix Designed Some Awesome Star Wars Characters

1. Reimagined Star Wars action figures

Square Enix, the famed publisher of the Final Fantasy franchise, has given several Star Wars characters their own spin for its Star Wars Play Arts Variant Figures set.

2. Boba Fett

The bounty hunter who captured Han Solo is one of three character figurines revealed by the Japanese game publisher.

3. Stormtrooper

Become an elite soldier in the Galactic Empire as one of these reimagined Stormtroopers. Or if you want to pretend you're Luke Skywalker underneath one of those suits, that's cool, too.

4. 11-inches tall

Each Star Wars figurine stands just under a foot tall.

5. Don't mess with a Stormtrooper

Stormtroopers once looked like foes you could easily bypass, but not anymore. The Stormtrooper's new, stylized look screams "not to be trifled with."

6. Interchangeable accessories

Every figurine from Square Enix's Play Arts line will include a base for the 11-inch toy, plus interchangeable weapons and hand pieces.

7. Take my money!

When the action figures are released in July, they'll be priced at ¥12,000, or about $100 USD each.

8. Boba Fett's weaponry

One fun aspect of Square Enix's Star Wars figures is the ability to change Boba Fett's weapons. Fett gets a heavy blaster, a blaster pistol and a pair of knives, plus fire artillery parts, jets and four hand pieces.

9. Stormtrooper's arsenal

Stormtroopers pack a heavy blaster rifle, a blaster rifle with muzzle flash, and four optional hand sets.

10. Japanese Influence

Square Enix likes to put its own twist on iconic figures. For example, it's clear that the Star Wars characters have a Japanese Final Fantasy influence in their armor.

11. Darth Vader's lightsaber and Force powers

Darth Vader is, of course, equipped with his signature red lightsaber, plus a lightsaber with a battle effect, and a hand piece with a force feature.

12. Not Square Enix's first time

If you love the Star Wars action figures, then check out Square Enix's other reimagining of an iconic character: Iron Man.

13. Darth Vader looks freakin' awesome

It is your destiny to get these badass Star Wars figures.

Square Enix: Do you know what makes a good game? Were pretty sure you do, so make your opinion count and help independent developers at the same time. Take a look through the projects published here, and let us know if youd back a game through crowdfunding or not by voting. Even better, help to shape that game idea by leaving your feedback in the comments section. Each games campaign ends after 28 days, and if the response is strong, we may lend our support as well when it lands on Indiegogo or Kickstarter. In XO you command a ragtag fleet of starships against an unbeatable enemy. You'll be evacuating refugees, scrounging for resources, overcoming political treachery, and assembling your flock from one jump point to the next. Your goal is to lead what's left of humanity out of reach from the unknown threat that pursues.

The Goggle Inc. is in hot pursuit for Cole and his stolen proton engine fitted to his car. You must race down the road for as long as you can while coming under attack by enemies throwing bombs from the back of trucks, shooting from motorbikes and even firing mortars while flying with jetpacks! Earn money by destroying the bandits that try to run you off the road and unlock more cars with a variety of defensive mechanisms to join your convoy. The distance you go and the number of enemies killed determines your score, so be sure to upgrade your vehicle and build a good team of vehicles around you to help you win more points! Will you be able to destroy the Valkyrie prototype 3 and escape?
