Harold Review | GameGrin

Auto-runners such as Rayman Jungle Run, Temple Run and Jetpack Joyride have dominated mobile platforms for a while now, so it was only a matter of time before they started to invade the PC. Enter Harold, a 2D, puzzle-platforming racer from Moon Spider Studio. Taking the fast-paced, reactionary gameplay of an auto-runner and adding the fidelity of control and graphics allowed by a PC should have been a recipe for greatness. Ultimately, though, the result is a frustrating title that requires lightning-fast reactions and phenomenal dexterity.

Added: 16.03.2015 17:18 | 3 views | 0 comments

SBG: These days, it wont take you long to stumble upon a new Metroid-inspired game. Seriously, theyre everywhere. As a result, not too many of them actually stand out or move away from the standard formula in any remarkable ways. Enter Ori and the Blind Forest, a 2D action-platformer in the same vein as Metroid and its various counterparts. It doesnt break the mold completely, but it manages to prove you dont need to in order to create something truly special.

HG: Castle Crashers and Diablo are some of the best co-op franchises of all time. Though they play differently, both franchises have brought friends together across many different platforms. Its a wonder why no one has had the idea of meshing both franchises together. Enter Super Dungeon Bros., a game that manages to do just that and feel entirely fresh. We were able to meet with React Games to play a rowdy match of some good co-op fun in Super Dungeon Bros.

Austin Griffith, Editor-in-Chief at LevelSave.com writes... "I have never played Dark Souls. Im not much of one for the perma-death style of game. I am the type of person who, in the event of losing a save game, will never play through a game again because I already did this. So what am I doing falling in love with a game that is near identical in mechanics to Dark Souls? Where nothing youll ever do will last longer then one life? It has to be some type of great for that to happen. Enter Necropolis: The latest creation from the team at Harebrained Schemes, the team behind the beloved necropolis09Shadowrun as well as Bungie Aerospaces one-and-only Crimson: Steam Pirates."

Added: 12.03.2015 11:18 | 10 views | 0 comments

GO: Two years ago, DmC hit last-gen consoles and PC to rave reviews. As someone who liked, but didnt really love the original Devil May Cry trilogy, I absolutely adored the reboot. Now, time has passed and brought with it a new console generation that is sorely lacking in action-heavy games like this. Enter the Definitive Edition of DmC. Now running at 1080p and 60 frames per second, the action has never looked better on a console.
