Nintendo Airs Xenoblade Chronicles 3D Trailer Ahead of Release Date

Added: 26.03.2015 11:07 | 0 views | 0 comments

Nintendo has published a new praised the epic scale of the handheld title. Games critic John Robertson wrote: "While it's an inferior proposition to its initial Wii release in 2011, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D remains superior to the majority of RPGs. The move to 3DS has harmed the act of playing, but if you can look past the clunky signage and questionable 3D then you'll find a game that remains an amazing high point for the genre, one that'll absorb you right up to its glorious finale."

The Xenoblade Chronicles 3D release date falls on April 2 in Europe and April 10 in the US.

Review: Sid Meier's Starships (Apple iPad) | Digitally Downloaded

Added: 23.03.2015 0:18 | 7 views | 0 comments

DD: Sid Meier's Starships is so poor it actually physically hurts me. That a man that has been so foundational to the strategy genre would lend his name to nonsense like this is nothing short of depressing. I am of course talking about Sid Meier, who was responsible for the Civilization franchise. Back before Europa Universalis was a thing, the Civilization series was the kind of game that armchair generals with dreams of world domination would glue themselves to for weeks at a time. But then Europa Universalis happened and Civilization's direction started to veer towards something with a more universal appeal. Throw in Total War's development as a RTS with grand strategy ambitions of its own, and Meier is no longer sitting on a pedestal by himself. If he keeps producing games like Starships he'll find himself quickly forgotten.

Europa Universalis IV: El Dorado Review | GameGrin

Added: 21.03.2015 22:18 | 6 views | 0 comments

"Europa Universalis IV is starting to get a bit crowded. In all fairness, any other game would have been swamped by the amount of DLC that the game currently offers, yet the pure breadth and depth of the game means that all of the previous DLC has snuck tidily into the wider game. With mixed results, of course, but nonetheless Paradox has done a great job of making every DLC feel like a natural extension to the games brilliant mechanics. El Dorado, the latest premium expansion, is the first to feel like a struggle, as though it was tricky to actually think of new systems to add to the game. Thats not to say Paradox hasnt succeeded in creating an enjoyable expansion, but even the most dedicated of EUIV fans may find themselves tiring of the lack of real evolution that these DLC packs bring."
