Forza Horizon 2 Interview with Art Director Ben Penrose [Capsule Computers]

Added: 04.10.2014 12:12 | 6 views | 0 comments

Zac Elawar from Capsule Computers writes: "A few developers made the long trip Down Under from all over the globe to attend the EB Games Expo 2014. One in particular missed his own launch party for the commitment Ben Penrose, Art Director on Forza Horizon 2. Based out of Royal Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, England, the team at Playground Games pleasantly surprised everyone by helming an off-shoot of the previously simulation-only, circuit racer Forza Motorsport, and taking the franchise into an open-world, more arcade-y setting with Forza Horizon in 2012, and doing so in amazing fashion. A critical hit, its sequel looks to be even more so, proving the developers mettle. We got to spend about ten minutes with Ben, who got into the country at the start of the week, avoiding jetlag and drinking his coffee bright and early before doors opened for the publicwell, at least attempting to! (Sorry, Ben! Got ya twice! Im so horrible)"

"At EB Games Expo this year, Bethesda were showcasing their upcoming Shinji Mikami horror game, The Evil Within. Locked down in a hidden room within the a massive Bethesda booth, there were multiple consoles with the game available to play. Our session with the game was only around 20minutes, but it sure as heck didnt feel like it was that long. For those that havent heard of The Evil Within, its a survival horror game by Shinji Mikami and features a detective that has been engulfed by this case that takes him up against some rather scary wights." - Attack On Gaming

Bayonetta 2 Hands-On Impressions EB Games Expo 2014 | Attack On Gaming

Added: 04.10.2014 9:12 | 11 views | 0 comments

"This year at the Nintendo Australia booth at EB Games Expo, Nintendo Australia were showcasing a number of upcoming and recently released games for the public to try out and play while at the booth. Nintendo themselves had games like Super Smash Bros. (3DS and Wii U versions), Splatoon, Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart and more. However, locked away, behind the curtains to hidden away from underaged eyes was the game that we were hyped up the most to see (at the entire expo), Bayonetta 2. Bayonetta 2 is the sequel to the incredibly fun and controversial Bayonetta, which originally appeared on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 devices back in 2011. Since then, Nintendo has locked in exclusivity rights for the sequel with Sega, which means that the Platinum Games developed title will be released solely on Nintendo systems." - Attack On Gaming

Vaughn Highfield wrote for TheGamersHub: "At this years Eurogamer Expo at Earls Court in London, I got a chance to sit down with Dragon Age Inquisitions Director of Art Animation, Neil Thompson. Neil had just come away from his stage presentation surrounding the artwork and art style of BioWares latest entry into its fantasy RPG, so I thought it only natural to sit down and fire some questions at him around the art and themes that inspired the first next-gen release of the series."

Review: Turbo Dismount

Added: 03.10.2014 13:00 | 6 views | 0 comments

Turbo Dismount In the 1990 episode of The Simpsons titled "Bart the Daredevil," Homer Simpson attempts to jump over Springfield Gorge on a skateboard. He doesn't make it, and what follows is a long, painful fall that's simultaneously hilarious and cringe-inducing. Playing Turbo Dismount by Secret Exit is a bit like re-watching Homer's rough tumble, except the carnage is guided by your own hand - and, thankful...
