Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward - Free Company Airship Crafting and Upgrade Guide

Added: 06.07.2015 14:15 | 6 views | 0 comments

One of the most unique additions that come to Final Fantasy XIV: Realm Reborn in their first expansion Heavensward is the ability for your Free Company to craft airships. These airships function much like the venture features that players can send their retainers out to do. Players build your airship, they send it out, it brings stuff back. It's that simple. However, as with any new expansion, there is little information on how to actually craft the initial airship, much less how to upgrade it. For those who aren't tempted to build an airship as it stands now, in future patches to the expansion, Free Companies will be able to ride it to enter otherwise inaccessible areas in the game. Why not build it now and get a head start on discovering the new places players will go in the future?

This Tuesday the first raid for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward will open to players. It's called Alexander, and players have been spending countless hours preparing for it.

Alexander will first be available in its Normal difficulty variant this Tuesday following maintenance, which is said to be slightly less difficult than The Binding Coil of Bahamut. In two more weeks Savage difficult will unlock, offering a grueling challenge to FFXIV's most hardcore players. The raid won't be without reward, though. All new job-specific sets as well as other raid-exclusive items will be available to those who brave its many obstacles.

If you're a Final Fantasy fan you may be familiar with Alexander for his recurring appearances throughout the series, namely as a summon. In FFXIV players will be able to go inside of his large fortress-like body (seen above in art form) and battle menacing bosses in a steampunk environment.

TA writes; After an event that lasted a big longer than most normal limited time events (most likely due to the debut of Memory Crystals as well as the Festival of Gold which replaced the normal content), Record Keeper [Free] is back to its normal schedule of weekly limited events. For this event, entitled Princess of Alexandria, Record Keeper debuts content from Final Fantasy IX for the first time and offers some pretty cool high end rewards for players with the skills (and equipment) to pass them. As is the custom, weve run through the content and have some tips for players looking to unlock as much of the content as available.
