Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag review | PCGamer

PCG - "Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag doesnt really want to be an Assassins Creed game, and I dont blame it. It seems keen to shrug off the oblique, convoluted lore surrounding the eon-long Assassins vs Templar power struggle, which managed to reach new peaks of ludicrousness even after that bit in the second game when you punch the Pope into unconsciousness in order to access an alien hologram."

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is one of those games that simultaneously launched for current and next-gen consoles, along with the likes of LEGO Marvel and CoD: Ghosts. And like those games, Black Flag for Xbox One is the exact same game, but with marginally prettier visuals.

Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag Review | GIZORAMA

GIZORAMA - When a developer creates a game that receives a good amount of praise from users and critics alike, its bound to get a sequel, right? Much like Call of Duty, Assassins Creed has turned into a yearly event where the result is always good, but not necessarily great. Case in point, Assassins Creed: Revelations. This was my least favorite of the series and everything went downhill from there. AC III looked promising, but failed to meet my expectations as it took up to eight hours to get it any of the fun and was, at times, quite boring. So now we have Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, obviously riding atop the major success of Assassins Creed IIIs remarkable naval combat (the best part of the game). Here, there is no waiting for the action, the story is more light-hearted, the gameplays been refined to a tee, and its miles better Assassins Creed III.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Review - New England Gamer

Dan Courtney writes - "Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag is the newest iteration of the AC franchise from Ubisoft Montreal. Ive been playing these games since the original, and Ive gotta say- this one is definitely my favorite so far. For those of you who played AC3 and thought, Oh, how I wish there were more naval missions!, this one is gonna be right up your alley. Grab your cutlass and wave goodbye to your land-lubbin ways as you delve into the world of 1700s Caribbean pirating."
