Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Review - Midlife Gamer

Added: 14.11.2013 18:17 | 9 views | 0 comments

Derek 'Digi' McRoberts says "I dont know how many people out there will agree with me, (or maybe I should ready myself for the lynch mob), but Ezio Auditore ruined Assassins Creed III. I make no bones about it that the Florentine executioner bled out AC3 as surely as if he had run his blade through its throat. Let me explain before you start sharpening your pitchforks and donning your hoods. Putting aside the bugs and glitches that hampered the games launch, or the regular hatred we all felt throughout the series for the non-entity that was Desmond, the biggest problem I had with the Revolution era stab-em up was Connor."

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Review | Quarter to Three

Added: 14.11.2013 4:17 | 8 views | 0 comments

"As an overall package, Assassins Creed IV is the best in the series for how nearly everything has been tweaked, overhauled, and completely rethought. With one exception: the melee. In the day of Batman, Bayonetta, and a rebooted Devil May Cry, theres no excuse for this uninteresting combat. Its simplistic, unruly, and never takes more than the same recurring two-button combo. It works, but thats simply not enough compared to the attention lavished on everything else. Wonky combat aside, Assassins Creed IV is a hell of a game. Instead of building giant cities separated by little patches of open land, you have here a massive ocean peppered with islands that include small to mid-sized cities, forming a Carribben setting that oozes character. Never has a game delivered on the promise of living the life of a pirate with as well as Black Flag with its awesome production values, refined game design, and lively oceangoing hijinx."

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Review | IRB Gamer

Added: 13.11.2013 14:23 | 1 views | 0 comments

IRB Gamer: "Visually Assassin Creed IV is about as good as it gets, when it comes to current generation consoles that is. I honestly dont think it could get much better. I never saw any graphical bugs or choppiness. It plays smoothly and is beautiful, especially when you find yourself in the jungle environments. How much of a graphical difference will we see between current gen and next gen consoles? We will still have to wait a couple days for PS4 and a little over a week for the Xbox One to find out"
