Where are the Xbox One Assassin's Creed IV reviews?

Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag is released today on current generation consoles and the favourable reviews are sailing in thick and fast. The majority of media outlets have critiqued the PlayStation 4 version as well as the PS3 360 versions of which they have made cross-gen technical comparisons. However there is one format that has been conspicuously absent from any review, the Xbox One edition.

VideoGamer: "Assassin's Creed 4's mechanics are as out of time as its settings, and the graphical upgrade of the next-generation versions isn't enough to distract from that. Here's what needs to change."

| Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (PlayStation 3) Review - Push Square

Push Square: "Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag lacks the spit and polish of prize plunder, but it certainly doesnt deserve to be cast back into the ocean. This is as much an enjoyable on water excursion as it as an exceptional stealth game, and while not every mission in its protracted campaign will leave you as buoyant as the Jolly Roger, youll find more than enough riches here to keep you coming back for more."

CVG:The biggest praise we can heap onto Assassin's Creed IV is that pieces of its breathtaking oceanic playground remain with you long after you put the pad down.

| Edge- Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag Review

Edge:The pirates life for you. Thats what Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag promises, and the fantasy it delivers sets new benchmarks not only for Ubisofts series but for open-world gaming. You are Edward Kenway, a privateer-turned-pirate seeking riches and renown on the high seas in the years prior to the events of ACIII. That game, of course, drew criticism for its gratingly earnest protagonist Edwards grandson, Connor and for the sly edutainment of toggling between historical settings and cameos of important figures. Black Flag hasnt abandoned the series love of history, but Ubisoft Montreal lightens proceedings with bawdy humour and lovable seafaring drunkards aplenty. The recipe that makes Caribbean cruises such a popular holiday sunshine, open water, gorgeous beaches is the same one that makes Black Flags virtual world so enticing.

| Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag PS4 review Ship-shape up top, but problems persist below deck OPM
Added: 29.10.2013 12:17 | 6 views | 0 comments
OPM: For a franchise with this particular title, its peculiar how few of the games in Ubisofts Templar-hunting series have actually been centred on killing. Or, more specifically, as there is a hell of a lot of death, contract killing. Assassinating, if you will. It was there in the first game, just not very well implemented. In the second, which is still easily the series high point, the high-profile murders were done excellently. But ever since, as the games have expanded, and more distractions have been put in place, focus on the satisfying plan your approach type hits has fallen by the wayside. How does Assassins Creed 4 do?
