XBA:
At the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco last year, XBA was invited to an ID@Xbox showcase. At the time, Microsoft was getting grief for not providing the same level of indie support as PlayStation. It was a thing. People were upset. So we trundled down to The Mission district to see what Xbox was doing to fight back.
The showcase was crammed with indies, both familiar and unfamiliar. Alongside hyped known upcoming games like Capys Super Time Force were quirky, inventive little Kinect experiments like Fru, made in 48 hours by a small team of Dutch devs. There was loads of good stuff there. But one game generated more buzz than anything else in the room. It was called #IDARB.

| Grow Home review Ubisoft returns to its roots | Metro

Metro:
The makers of Driver: San Francisco create their own indie platform adventure, but does it have more than just the seeds of a good idea?
Technically Grow Home isnt an indie game, not in the literal sense of the word. Its by Driver: San Francisco developer Reflections, who have more than 200 employees and are owned by Ubisoft. But indie isnt just about whether youre owned by another company, its the kind of games you make. There are plenty of cynical cash grabs from independent developers, and likewise giant corporations can end up funding small personal projects from impassioned creators. Grow Home is just such a game.

| The game Driver: San Francisco could have been: Sumo Digital's cancelled Driver game uncovered

VVV:The concept art for the unreleased Driver 5 reveals that San Francisco was still going to be the signature setting along with New York, both of which were featured in the original Driver game. Las Vegas was also apparently on the cards, which was a setting in Driver 2. There appears to be an emphasis on destructible environments, with several shots depicting ruined environments and crumbling scenery. Split/Second Velocity, anyone?"
