"As stated before, the acquisition of THQ Montr&eĂłal in January allowed Ubisoft to welcome 170 experienced developers to our existing and renowned workforce. Unfortunately, the discussions between Patrice D&eĂłsilets and Ubisoft aimed at aligning Patrice#146;s and the studio#146;s visions were inconclusive," the statement reads. XLC Gaming Network writes:- Remember Me is the first title to come out of developer DONTNOD, a new French studio. Sci-fi and Cyber Punk fans will be in their element with this title. While it does follow the usual sci-fi clichés DONTNOD have put their own twist in the story. This comes in the form of the ability to digitalize memories that can be bought, sold and traded. Just imagine if you really could do this with memories and what power you would have. It is these thoughts lay down the foundations for what is one hell of a story with some unique ideas.

AAG's Tyler writes: "Remember Me was the spotlight of debate when it came to it having a female protagonist. The French studio, Dont Nod Entertainment, was having trouble finding a publisher for their dystopian sci-fi game because conventional wisdom said the game would not sell with a female protagonist. Eventually, Dont Nods project was taken up by Capcom and the title has finally come out. In this one instance, both Capcom and Dont Nod should be congratulated for this fresh breath of diversity, because everything else about the game is disappointing."

MP:Remember Me, Adrift in origin, is the first project of young French house Dontnod, studio that welcomes developers from Ubisoft, Criterion Studios and Quantic Dream. Born in 2008, the game has undergone an extremely troubled gestation, almost to risk the cancellation, finding new life (and funds) thanks to Capcom, who has decided to produce and distribute. Set in a futuristic Paris, the title embraces the full cyberpunk with a premise is not original, but always intriguing, that the manipulation of memories, and in doing so uses a female protagonist of rare charm, ironically a major source of headaches for programmers . The surprises do not end there.

Glue your controller to your palms, or it'll end up out of the window.
I've always had a crawling and irrational sense of discomfort when it comes to French animation. The elongated and over-inflated caricatures of Belleville Rendezvous make my gullet rise. The 1980s series Robo Story features a character called The White Wriggler, an obsequious bad guy who had a gleaming white bell-end for a head. Watching Asterix made me feel hollow and sad. It was the colours, sounds, and animation of Rayman Origins that finally cured me of a prejudice that was beginning to feel like xenophobia. So thanks, Rayman, for making me a less hateful person.
