At some time or another, all of us fantasize about stripping naked, jumping into a birthday cake the size of a bungalow, and then eating our way out. But cake-dives typically don’t work out in real life: Aside from running the risk of being pulled in for public indecency, chances are good that you’d manage maybe ten mouthfuls of cake before your stomach started violently (and messily) rejecting all that frosting. Leave the reckless eating to the Morps, the tubby stars of the adorable town building/action game Eat Eat Hooray!

Castle Champions Review (iPad)

You know the phrase, “Have fun storming the castle?” That never made much sense to me, because castles really don't seem like they'd be fun to storm. What could be fun is having your own castle and leading knights, wizards, archers and the like to battle, which conveniently is exactly what Castle Champions allows you to do on your iOS device. Build on the homefront and battle in the field with absolutely no storming required.

PWN: Combat Hacking Review (iPad)

Unless you’re off the grid, digital security is now a part of your life, and has made it abundantly clear that being a gamer and being off the grid are now mutually exclusive. It’s no surprise that the next generation of games will place players in the hacker role more often, but Quadrilateral Cowboy this game isn’t. PWN: Combat Hacking is more akin to a hacking mini-game spun off from a AAA title than something that approximates Anonymous wish fulfillment. Does this frantic digital tug of war reprogram your brain for fun, or just make you want to log off?

Disney Infinity pushed back to August (iPad)

Added: 14.03.2013 22:48 | 4 views | 0 comments

There’s no trying to hide our excitement for here at Gamezebo. I mean, it’s a video game that gives you an excuse to buy mass amounts of Disney memorabilia. Chocolate, meet peanut butter. Unfortunately, that very excitement is what makes this news post such a bummer to write. In an attempt to release the game closer to the holiday season, Disney has pushed the game’s release date back to August.

Heroes of Destiny Review (iPad)

iOS games that emphasize team management via tracing paths on the screen to both move and designate targets are always a good time. Of course sometimes they can be a bit unwieldy. This is Heroes of Destiny’s most notable trait: an intelligent and responsive interface. Being full of different characters to hire and lots of loot to upgrade is just a perk.

Am I the only one who gets bored playing Air Hockey after a while? I mean, all you do is hit the puck back and forth across the table and try to score a goal. Where are all the deadly saw blades and environmental hazards to keep you on your toes? That’s why I’m so excited about Slamjet Stadium, the latest release from Alistair Aitcheson that gives us Air Hockey with an attitude.

Ridiculous Fishing Review (iPad)

If you’re reading this, and you haven’t downloaded and played Vlambeer’s Ridiculous Fishing, it means that you’ve lived a joyless life since it hit the App Store last night. If by some chance you’re stumbling across this in the days, weeks, or - let’s not think about it - months following the game’s release, and still don’t have it on your phone or tablet, you have a dangerously large fun vacuum you need to fill. And if… Okay, let’s just put it this way: you have absolutely no excuse not to purchase and play copious amounts of this game. Unless you’re reading this hundreds of years in the future on a supercomputer in a post-Earth colony. And even then, you’re on thin ice.
