The races of Telara walked their own paths until the Blood Storm arrived, bent on conquering - or destroying - the world. Now, they've come together under the banners of the Guardians and Defiant to repel the dragon gods. Team Ico's The Last Guardian recently delivered a double dose of disappointment to gamers first when it did not appear at E3 as rumored, and later when Sony's Jack Tretton said the game was on hiatus. "That's something that's very important to all of us, but we're not announcing any details on it."

The Last Guardian Will Release Someday And It'll Be Incredible

Added: 13.06.2013 4:17 | 21 views | 0 comments

In this week's Default Settings column, writer Alex Carlson yearns for the artistic majesty of The Last Guardian and explains why The Last Guardian will not succumb to the vaporware curses of Duke Nukem Forever or Daikatana. "The Last Guardian is something of an outlier in the long-running trend of development hell games. It has a significant advantage over other games with similar vaporware complications like Daikatana, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem Forever. Even moving away from Western games in this field, looking at other games like Final Fantasy XV (a game many thought was dead barely months after its revealing) and Shenmue III, The Last Guardian still has one very large advantage that near-ensures its exceptional quality once it goes gold."
