Push Square: "Call of Juarez: Gunslinger successfully puts the franchise back on track. At a purely mechanical level, the title may feel familiar to other first-person shooters but its unique setting and novel storytelling methods give it the jolt of originality that it requires."

"This weeks episode is like a house party. It all starts out quiet and respectable with Paul regaling us with tales of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Kieran informs us about some Need for Speed and Dota2. Then BANG! Tom the wild and crazy cool guy shows up and it all goes carazy! from there. Tom chats to us about his gaming week and Mike manages to shock and entertain us with the most offensive game hes ever played." says GFG.

Clickonline writes: "But the best news is that its a downloadable title with a budget price, running you around 15 for plenty of entertainment that honestly rivals many full priced games. If youre a shooter fan, this comes with a hearty recommendation. Plus slow motion is just cool."

Drew Leachman writes: The Call of Juarez series has been a rollercoaster ride. The first two games were decent, with Bound in Blood being the best in the series. Then The Cartel released and took the it to an all new low. Techland decided that should not happen again and created Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. After putting some time into the new downloadable title, I can safely say this is the best game to date.

HUGG Writes: Has Call of Juarez: Gunslinger made up for the mess left by The Cartel or has it shot itself in the foot. We get back in the saddle with our review.
After the unmitigated disaster that was The Cartel, we honestly thought that Techland and Ubisoft would drop the Call of Juarez franchise all together, so when Gunslinger was announced, it was a bit of a surprise. The series has never set the world alight, but its debut Bound in Blood were solid and garnished some critical success.
Even though Ubisoft have reduced their risk by offering Gunslinger as a download only title, and it has received little to no marketing, this game could put Call of Juarez back on the gaming landscape.

The Black Panel writes: Not only is Gunslinger the best Call to Juarez game to date, it is simply the most amount of fun to be had with a six-shooter this side of Red Dead Redemption. Entertaining score-based shooting, light RPG trappings and some of the best narration heard in games make this a blast. Throw in a super low price and Techlands latest becomes a no-brainer!
