Does Avalanche Studios And WB Games Have A Plan For DLC In Mad Max?

Added: 09.09.2015 23:17 | 19 views | 0 comments

Average Nobody's writes, "In today's gaming marketplace it's become more and more common for AAA developers to release a game with the intention of backing it up with downloadable content, so much in fact that we're presented with the option to purchase a season pass even before the game has been released. And yet Avalanche Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Just Cause franchise, decided to take a completely different approach with the release of Mad Max. So far the only mention of DLC that I've come across are references to the pre-order bonuses, console exclusives, and the Rockstar Energy challenge car... that's it. Whether or not Avalanche Studios is making a silent statement against the dependence on DLC in gaming or they're simply wanting to make sure there's a demand before investing the time, I honestly don't know. Just because Avalanche Studios hasn't yet revealed their ultimate plans for Mad Max, I'd say there's probably an expectation within the community...

Review: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Will Divide Die-Hard Fans [EGMR]

Added: 09.09.2015 14:17 | 7 views | 0 comments

EGMR writes: "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain left me conflicted as a die-hard MGS fan. It certainly has some of the best gameplay of this entire series, and it's easily one of the most intelligent, player-driven and amazing open world games this generation so far. It offers a phenomenal amount of content and runs like a dream, which is bound to embarrass other triple A titles. Yet being so deeply invested in this story and series it left me feeling underwhelmed and disappointed at how minimal the story is, and how it didn't feel like a farewell. It may leave you looking for and wanting more out of the story, which has not happened before in the history of this series. The result, despite being astounding to play, felt like a core part of the experience was missing. The Phantom Pain may not be Kojima's cinematic and narrative masterpiece, but it is close to that purely as a video game experience."
