Hands-on with Phosphor Games's World War Z - a zombie FPS that doesn't suck If there's one thing we've learnt about touchscreen gaming, it's this: first-person shooters suck. They're clumsy and they're awkward. Trying to wrestle with moving and aiming and shooting is like trying to perform a prostate exam on a wriggling hedgehog. So why is World War Z - a tie-in zombie shooter for iOS and Android, out very soon - any different? Because it dramatically simplifies ...

OXM: "When alternate history fiction posits the question What if Third Reich Germany won World War II?, whats a videogame hero to do? Kick a lot of Nazi derriere and the occasional, hulking mecha-guard dog, too. (Dont worry; robo-PETA hasnt formed yet.) And thats exactly what this reboot of the classic Wolfenstein shooter series lets you do, with guns blazing."

The Last of Us Fulfills E3 Promise in Hands-On Preview | Newsarama

Lucas Siegel says: When The Last of Us was revealed at the Sony PlayStation media briefing at E3 2012, the initial demo ended with a point-blank shotgun blast to the face and the demoer, from Sony in-house developer Naughty Dog, literally dropping the controller like a rapper who just lyrically punished his opponent in a battle. The demo made a statement: The PlayStation 3 is not dead, and you havent even considered what Naughty Dog is capable of on this console. The most impressive part of the demo the part that lingered with me, however, was the way the enemy AI seemed to react to what was happening. Surely that was just part of the demo. After all, truly reactive dialogue and planning by AI, both enemy and assistive, would be nearly impossible and surely unprecedented. Well, Naughty Dog has done it, and its only one of several impressive things I saw in a special two-hour hands-on demo with The Last of Us in a swanky New York hotel suite.

Hands-On With Rising Storm - Gamer Euphoria

Gamer Euphoria writes: ''World War 2 first-person shootersremember them? Oh how everyone complained about the sheer volume of them released on a regular basis back in the day, so much so that now, in 2013, its quite ironic that one of the most refreshing multiplayer experiences can be found in a World War 2 first-person shooter. Rising Storm, a standalone expansion for Red Orchestra 2, is a brutally brilliant experience that legitimises team work in the modern day first-person shooter multiplayer.''

Wolfenstein: The New Order Hands-On Preview By Canadian Online Gamers

Added: 29.05.2013 0:18 | 9 views | 0 comments

Canadian Online Gamers - "At a recent pre-E3 event hosted by Bethesda Softworks I had a chance to get my hands on a demo for the upcoming game Wolfenstein: The New Order. It was my first chance having any sort of hands-on experience with a title that will certainly be considered next-gen. I can tell you for certain that I was not disappointed and that the team from Machine Games hard work is quite evident in the short level I was able to rampage through."
