Resident Evil: Revelations Hands-On Updated In All The Appropriate Places | Siliconera

Added: 18.05.2013 9:17 | 10 views | 0 comments

Resident Evil: Revelations, while not completely atoning for the sins of Resident Evil 6, should hopefully remind players what a back-to-basics, focused Resident Evil experience is all about, and if the response is sufficient, hopefully Capcom will be reminded as well.

Hands-On With The Last of Us - The Average Gamer

Added: 18.05.2013 0:22 | 12 views | 0 comments

The Last of Us is not just an Uncharted game with added zombie. Its something far more brutal and unsettling. The preview build gave a tantalising peek into the traumatic, perilous and frankly depressing world of Joel and Ellie as they struggle to survive in a United States ravaged by a mind controlling killer cordyceps-like fungus which has turned normal humans into the deadly Infected, hell bent on killing and infecting the entire human race.

Hands-on: The Last of Us l TrustedReviews

By Stuart Andrews It doesn't take much exposure to The Last of Us before you realise that Naughty Dog's game is more than just Uncharted meets The Road. Sure, you could call it an action-adventure, and there are elements of Uncharted in the cinematic presentation, the fluid in-game dialogue, the way your playable character, Joel, runs and climbs. Yet in its own way, this is the Uncharted developer's take on survival horror, though here survival means more than just conserving ammo to gun down zombies, while the horror is the game's bleak tone than in the usual sudden shocks and scares.

NowGamer previewed two levels from the upcoming Sony exclusive and after a few playthroughs, there are a few things we could do without, but there are plenty of things we absolutely love.

Feature: The Last of Us: Naughty Dog's Imperfect Goodbye To The PS3

Added: 17.05.2013 8:00 | 20 views | 0 comments

Hands-on with Naughty Dog's zombie apocalypse raises expectations and concerns.

Standing as almost Uncharted's direct opposite, The Last of Us is a bleak affair. Be it the world that stands in front of you, the situation you find yourself in or the characters themselves, it's a dark, intense situation to experience. If Nathan Drake turned up and made a wisecrack, someone would probably kick him in the shin. Unlike, say, a Dead Rising where you have the suspicion everything is actually going to be alright, here the opposite is true. Alongside a vicious zombie horde, your fellow man has also turned, made no more evident than when Joel and Ellie's car is ambushed by an...

Hands-On with The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing - Gamer Euphoria

Added: 17.05.2013 7:17 | 15 views | 0 comments

Gamer Euphoria's Sean Halliday writes: ''Diablo 3, Torchlight 2 and Path of Exile are all currently dominating the loot em up action RPG space at the moment. They all have strong fanbases and creative communities behind them, but is there any space for a new entry into the genre? After some hands-on time with The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, the answer is a resounding yes.''

GotGame: Preview | Hands-on with Insomniac's Fuse

Added: 16.05.2013 19:20 | 8 views | 0 comments

GotGame: One major aspect of the game, aside from being able to use LEAP, is that there are RPG elements, in that each character picks up experience points and can upgrade their skills using a skill tree. These skills help with attacks, defense and other abilities. Each skill tree is also specific to each character, so if you leap into another characters shoes, youll find their own XP points, so you can customize them as you see fit.

FUSE Hands-On Preview | Capsule Computers

Added: 16.05.2013 15:22 | 6 views | 0 comments

Luke Halliday writes: "Insomniac Games latest effort is the third-person shooter action game FUSE. We were recently able to sit down with the game at EA Australias offices and even got to interview Insomniac Games CEO Ted Price. So how does the game shape up? Is it meandering or is it mind-blowing? FUSE is a game that can be described in three simple words: Fluid, Frenetic, Fun. There is a certain sense of chaotic pleasure that comes with playing FUSE that is quite simply uncommon today. It mixes a number of genres and styles into what in anyone elses hands would be a mess, but in the hands of Insomniac Games FUSE is something special a diamond in the rough."
