Under Development: Finding Answers in Human Resources

Added: 18.10.2014 18:12 | 5 views | 0 comments

Greg Micek writes : "Although we dont write about it every day, I check in with the Human Resources campaign on a consistent basis. Its an intriguing game being put together by an experienced team. Sure, theres plenty of opportunity to debate the way in which the team at Uber handles PR, their community, and their Kickstarter campaigns; but theres no question that the Human Resources Kickstarter is on life support. Fans are freaking out about the possibility of not getting their hands on a game with a great concept, while detractors are shaking their head at the various missteps made along the way. My thoughts, however, have been focused less on whats gone wrong, and more about what can be done to turn the Kickstarter around."

Interview: Autelia Discusses Human Orbit and Why It Went With AI Overlords | TGH

Vaughn Highfield writes on TheGamersHub: "At Eurogamer Expo we we shown an incredibly intriguing game from the indie studio Autelia. Comprised of former EA, Media Molecule and Eidos Montreal developers, Human Orbit certainly has the pedigree that such an ambitious project could do with to realise its potential. "That's because Human Orbit, it's a God game with a big difference: you play as an artificial intelligence. That might not sound all that different, but imagine the fact that this is a reality that could one day become possible thanks to the work of people like Deep Mind. "So, the general crux of Human Orbit is that what powers of both physical and emotional manipulation could a fully sentient AI have if it had access to the lives of a society? Set in a remote space station, the inhabitants lives are in your hands. "I'll go into more detail about Human Orbit in our upcoming preview, but in the meantime I sat down with - or more accurately sent some emails across to...

Legend of Grimrock 2 Review | Gamer Headlines

Added: 15.10.2014 2:14 | 5 views | 0 comments

Weve all played games that are frustratingly easy, as if the game designer decided that their audience was not smart enough to figure out the game mechanics on their own. Legend of Grimrock 2 by Almost Human Games, on the other hand, is a game that honours the players intelligence through its mind-bending riddles and puzzles and uncompromisingly challenging combat. Like the easy game that holds your hand, Legend of Grimrock 2 is at times frustrating, but in the best of ways. Youll get stumped by a puzzle and throw down your mouse in defeat, only to come back ten minutes later having deciphered the solution. Youll get beaten by a boss three times in a row, then go off and find a buried treasure with epic loot to help you kick its butt. Its a system that makes you feel truly smart and powerful for each puzzle solved and enemy trumped.

Added: 13.10.2014 22:12 | 1 views | 0 comments

Its hard to believe were coming up on five years since Final Fantasy XIII first hit the market. It was one of the most highly anticipated games of the last generation, but while the gameplay was fun, it ultimately left people a little disappointed with its constrained progression. Since its release in early 2010, two additional sequels have spawned to create the XIII trilogy, telling the time traveling story of Serah, and the newly knighted Goddess, Lightning. In a surprise move, Square Enix has decided to bring the three-part series to PC via Steam, with the original to come first. Square has been making a push on the platform for the last couple of years, with excellent ports for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Sleeping Dogs and more, so what could go wrong? A lot, apparently.
