Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, takes that very real passion and runs with it, crafting a fictional story heavily inspired by the real life competition between Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and even the dearly departed SEGA. That gimmick, which admittedly is quite clever, only temporarily masks what is otherwise a very mediocre game.

Now the game is reborn as Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth1 for the PlayStation Vita. The basic concept is the same. The game takes place in the world of Gamindusti, where the goddesses representing four regions (each representing a gaming console) fight in what is referred to as the console wars. I never played the original, but I like the concept, and this game successfully fixes many of the problems I read about the original. Lets get into it."
