Take-Two says latest title expected to become top-selling entry in the franchise; Borderlands 2 rises to 7 million, NBA 2K13 hits 6 million.

BioShock Infinite has now shipped 4 million units and is expected to become the top-selling entry in the series, according to comments from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick today during an earnings call.

Zelnick also revealed that Borderlands 2 has now shipped 7 million units worldwide. The game is on track to become the best-selling release in the history of the 2K Games label.

Lastly, the executive said NBA 2K13 has now shipped 6 million copies and is seeing record digital sales.

Zelnick also spoke highly of XCOM: Enemy Unknown for iOS. He did not give a specific sales update for the game, but said it proved that "gamers are willing to pay a premium price for premium experience." He added that its success has led Take-Two to consider how else it can adapt its franchises for mobile platforms.

Irrational Games today launched the first expansion for BioShock Infinite----for $5. Additional expansions Burial at Sea - Episode One and Burial at Sea - Episode Two will release in 2014 for $15 each.

Take-Two today . Digital sales were a bright spot for the company, rising 128 percent year-over-year and making up a record 52 percent of net revenue for the quarter.

2K Games and Irrational have announced three Bioshock Infinite DLC packs - Clash in the Clouds, which is out today for 400 MP, and the two-part Burial at Sea, which takes players back to Bioshock 1's setting Rapture.

Bioshock Infinite patch 6 has quietly released on Steam, this evening. The new update serves one purpose and fuels speculation that the first piece of Bioshock Infinite DLC is due imminently. Ken Levine has been teasing his Twitter followers the past few days, telling them to expect something big this Tuesday. We fully expect the new content to be detailed then, but it would also appear that the DLC will launch shortly after the reveal from Irrational Games. DLC is highly anticipated as the game launched with a Season Pass back in March, but the fact that an update is releasing so suddenly, even ahead of the DLC reveal, is a pretty sure sign that well get something sooner than expected.

BioShock Infinite creative director Ken Levine teases reveal of first downloadable content pack is expected tomorrow.

Irrational Games and 2K Games are expected to reveal BioShock Infinite#146;s upcoming downloadable content tomorrow, according to tweets by Irrational Games creative director, Ken Levine.

Levine initially "RT @lokp14: @IGLevine july is ending ken.. where's the DLC info? #146;-Read my tweets today, dude/dudette! all that tweet sweat for nothing!"

In February this year, BioShock Infinite publisher 2K Games said the studio of additional content for the title, including new characters, stories, and abilities, which would add hours of additional gameplay.

In April, a 2K Games developer for "animation and R&D for a new AI companion character" on his LinkedIn page.
