| Jazz Jackrabbit Revival Hits Kickstarter. Who Needs IP Rights?
Added: 05.09.2014 13:12 | 4 views | 0 comments
Marcus Estrada writes: "When Jazz Jackrabbit launched in 1994 it gained a lot of PC gaming attention. Developed and published by Epic MegaGames (now known as simply Epic Games), a fandom quickly formed around the series. Original designer Cliff Bleszinski has long since moved onto other projects much to the dismay of fans. Enter a recently-launched Kickstarter campaign for Jazz Jackrabbit Revival. According to the page, Turbo Tech Games plans to create a brand new game in the series using the Unreal Engine and port it to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The page itself has some nice visual accompaniment and doesn't look inherently shady at first glance."

| Review: Hatoful Boyfriend | Power Up Gaming

Jake Richards writes: "Hatoful Boyfriend tries too hard. It's that friend we all have, the one who jabs you after telling a terrible joke, smiling open-mouthed and staring unblinkingly into your eyes until you awkwardly laugh or else he will kill your entire family. It feels cheep (good, I met my bird pun quota and can die happy), like something you could download for free at any number of sites."

| Interview: Jane Jensen (Gabriel Knight 20th Anniversary Edition)
Added: 03.09.2014 13:12 | 6 views | 0 comments
An interview with legendary designer Jane Jensen discussing the upcoming Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition (and other topics). Here's an excerpt of her response as to why Gabriel Knight wasn't part of the Sierra announcement at Gamescom:
I have spoken to the people behind the new Sierra brand, in fact just before Gamescom. They are very supportive of the GK HD game. Bob Loya has mentioned it in several interviews. Our deal with them to make GK1 was done well before their internal Sierra brand initiative, so it was already in motion in a certain way. Pinkerton Road is publishing it, so therefore were not technically under the new Sierra brand. But, as I said, theyre supportive of the game, and we hope to work together on future titles soon under that Sierra logo.
