| Edge of Tomorrow is the First Great Video Game Movie

gamrReview's Jake Weston: "We still have yet to see a video game series perfectly adapted on to film - perhaps the upcoming Assassins Creed, Splinter Cell, and WarCraft films will change that - but with Edge of Tomorrow, we finally have a movie that shows how filmmakers are beginning to take the medium seriously, and this paints a hopeful picture of the future to come of games on film."

Jack writes -"Lifeless Planet has very few game mechanics. Of course simple ones are walking and jumping that can be improved upon with the use of the jetpack. This can help navigate the environment and solve certain puzzles. Another would be the robotic arm you find later in the game that helps you reach certain controls that you usually wouldnt be able to. This does, however make up the entirety of the game mechanics that may upset a considerable amount of people. Due to the nature of the game and its exploration the focus on the mechanics are minimal and whilst still important, the story is most important."

Jake Thomas Wrote: "E3 2014 came and went just as fast as every year. We all laughed, cried, and were filled with joy as game after game met our vision, and we saw our next year (or more) held above our heads like Simba. There were some show-stoppers that weve seen before, like 2K Games Evolve and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and some great looking new games like The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon.
Ive debated and debated to myself before deciding on my top 10 picks for E3 2014. Here they are:"

| Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! is Definitely More Borderlands | gamrReview Preview
Added: 15.06.2014 18:14 | 5 views | 0 comments
gamrReview's Jake Weston: "Weve seen many video game prequels in the last few years, quickly made, sometimes cheaply produced, and usually worked on by the publishers B-team while the next step forward in whichever hypothetical series were talking about is being developed. On one hand, its kind of refreshing that 2K Australia is addressing this head-on with their naming of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!, taking over the franchise from Gearbox Software as they work on whatever it is theyre currently working on. On the other hand, while the meta nature of the title certainly fits nicely with the series trademark humor, it doesnt mask the feeling that this entry is indeed more of the same from 2012s Borderlands 2, though if youre a hardcore fan of the franchise, thats certainly not a bad thing."
