Mad Max is Not So Fast or Furious | VGChartz Preview

Added: 20.06.2015 11:16 | 5 views | 0 comments

VGChartz's Jake Weston: "As a huge fan of Fury Road, and the Mad Max series as a whole, I admittedly carried those expectations in with me when I checked out Avalanche's Mad Max game. While Mad Max looks like it will continue Warner's recent streak of great license-based games, certain aspects of the demo gave some room for doubt."

VGChartz's Jake Weston: "Out on E3s show floor today I had the chance to check out Guild of Dungeoneering, a unique blend of dungeon crawler and trading card game, with an equally unique doodle-inspired art style that would look right at home in a bored high schoolers notebook (and I mean this in the best possible way)."

Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster Takes You Back to the Series' Origins | VGChartz Preview

Added: 18.06.2015 10:16 | 4 views | 0 comments

VGChartz's Jake Weston: "There are still certain trepidations I have toward the remaster, though they certainly can't be helped. For one, I'm disappointed that the game's cutscenes appear to still be in the original low resolution. Not a big deal, I understand that; what I don't understand is the need to crop the original fullscreen-rendered cutscenes to fit into widescreen. Even when selecting the option for them to be played in the original 4:3 aspect ratio, cut scenes are still cropped for widescreen, removing a big chunk of the original image. I also could take or leave Billy's voice acting (although the way he says "Staaaaaaaars" is hilarious). With this re-release, Capcom is one step closer to bringing every Resident Evil game to HD platforms (Resident Evil 2 and 3: Nemesis remakes - get on it Capcom!), as well as re-introducing players to one of the most interesting games in the series."

Sword Coast Legends - The Surprise Stand-out Player Creation Experience of E3 | VGChartz Preview

Added: 17.06.2015 11:16 | 7 views | 0 comments

VGChartz's Jake Weston: "While other player-creation focused tools at this year's E3 such as Super Mario Maker, Doom's level editor, and Media Molecule's Dream have left me feeling ambivalent, Sword Coast Legends Dungeon Master mode has me filled with imagination of what might be possible once it's put in creative players' hands. Whether n-Space will be able to reach their ambition remains to be seen, but what I saw makes me excited to see what will happen once Sword Coast Legends launches September 8, 2015, for PC, Mac, Linux, and sometime Q4 2015 for PS4 and Xbox One."
