Gust has released a new, two-minute gameplay trailer for Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, introducing the games story, battles, alchemy, and exploration. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia president Atsushi Morita and Capcom executive producer Yoshinori Ono will be released as official Pawns in Dragons Dogma Online in the near future, Capcom announced during this mornings PlayCommu Cafe Niconico broadcast. Pawns are characters that players can customize and enlist to accompany them on their adventures. The online open-world action RPG will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC via paid retail in Japan in just under 30 minutes, and via free download on August 31.

The random chunks of story lack consistency and will only be understood by hardcore fans of the show, who deserve a better narrative than this. But when played in short bursts or with people online, there's an easy-going yet empowering flow to the action that makes it hard to put down.
