The above image is the very front of the line to get into Quakecon's Bring Your Own Computer hall last week. The rest of the line took around a minute to walk along. That's a long, long line. Bad for those waiting at the back, but really good for those wanting to ogle some ludicrously impressive custom machines.
And ludicrously impressive we got. Over the course of the week, my frequent trips back to that vast, barely-lit cavern of flickering neons turned up a ton of great stuff, ranging from immaculate recreations of pop culture goodness, to just plain impressive industrial light shows. My one regret is that I didn't track down the guy with the full-scale Team Fortress 2 turret. That thing was insane. As was the drivable, remote control tank. Bah, Next year...

What's more, Ouya's technical team and developer relations personnel will join Razer. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. More from the announcement follows below. "In the near future, Razer will be providing existing Ouya users with a clear path of migration to the more advanced Forge TV micro-console and Serval controller bundle. Razer's intention is to allow Ouya users to bring their games, controllers, and accounts to the Cortex TV platform on the Forge microconsole, advancing the experience of Android gaming on TV that they have previously enjoyed. Additionally, Razer is planning deep product discounts for incoming Ouya users to purchase Razer hardware, and a spate of freebies, giveaways, and promotions to enjoy on their new Forge consoles. "Moving forward, Razer plans significant development of the Forge TV micro-console, controllers and software solutions to enhance the home entertainment experience.
