Robin Parker: "If you take all the games as simply a fun way to explore different Disney worlds and meet famous cartoon characters, then there is a lot of fun to be had with the simple action-RPG gameplay. Just dont get bogged down trying to follow every detail of whats going on it doesnt even seem like the writers themselves were completely sure what was happening at some points. It seems sadly apparent from this collection that the series has lost its way. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are the only really great titles in the franchise, and the rest only serve to muddy the water and confound the fans."

Metro: "Pendleton Wards cult cartoon gets another video game tie-in, and this one is a super blatant clone of The Legend Of Zelda. The main reason there are so few licensed games these days is simply that the casual gamers that tend to buy them have moved onto smartphones. There the games are cheap enough to make that it doesnt matter if theyre only being bought by people familiar with the movie or show in question. But with expensive console and PC games its a different story, and not knowing the source material can actually make it less likely youll buy the game. As is undoubtedly the case with the new Game Of Thrones tie-in."
