Kickstart this: Investigate a series of killings around Victorian London in noir adventure game The Slaughter The Slaughter has a string of interesting ingredients to entice your interest. First, it's a noir-style point and click adventure. Second, it's set in Victorian London. Third, you're a private eye investigating a series of killings. It's a combination of classic LucasArts adventure games, with darker themes apparently inspired by the works of David Lynch, Cormac McCarthy, and Max Ernst....

Unigamesity: For years we waited for LucasArts to give the go-ahead for the third installment to arguably the most beloved FPS of the sixth generation of consoles (PS2/Xbox/GameCube). For whatever reason, it never came. Then one day, the gods smiled upon us. The day was June 10, 2013, and after years of speculation, EA announced that DICE would be re-launching the series on the next generation of consoles.

Deadfall Adventures Review (Strategy Informer)

Added: 13.11.2013 11:17 | 5 views | 0 comments

From Strategyinformer.com: "Im lucky in terms of games Ive wished to exist. Rocksteady gave me the Batman games Ive always wanted, Telltale made a new Monkey Island, there are new Thief and Deus Ex games coming out, and that F2P Command Conquer game got shut down. What still eludes me however is that big epic Indiana Jones experience. With LucasArts disappearing up some executives backside and Disney not realising they bought something other than just Star Wars Im not holding out much hope, but luckily developer The Farm 51 (a Polish studio who have helped on Painkiller, The Witcher and made, uh, Necrovision) wanted the same thing as me. They couldnt get the Indiana Jones licence so they made their own adventurer please welcome James Quatermain and his Deadfall Adventures."

"We've got some IP coming up that pretty much checks all of my personal favourites," says co-founder.

"A Telltale Star Wars game would make me VERY happy!" said Bruner. "We've got some IP coming up that pretty much checks all of my personal favourites, which absolutely amazes/honours me."

"Coming from LucasArts we have so many people here that love Star Wars and have worked with the license so that would be a great fit and very cool," added Connors. "In addition we will be working on a few licenses that...

GamerZines | Goodbye Deponia Preview - 'A Fitting and Funny Finale'

GamerZines writes: If you call yourself a fan of adventure games and you havent heard of Daedalics Deponia series then please do us a favour. Go to your nearest mirror, look yourself squarely in the eye and slap yourself across the face as hard as possible. Go do it, well wait That hurt us a little bit less than it hurt you, but really you should have heard of this series! Along with Telltale Games and Double Fine, Daedalic are one of the last major studios flying the point-and-click flag, and their work is slowly but surely reaching that high-water quality mark forged by LucasArts in the early 90s

Games of the Generation: LA Noire

Added: 03.10.2013 20:18 | 4 views | 0 comments

GamerNode Senior Editor Mike Murphy writes: "Toward the end of this seventh console generation, certain games emerged that dared to question just what makes a video game a video game. Though not as extreme a case as Heavy Rain, LA Noire is without a doubt one of the most notorious examples. The games insistence on a more story- and character-focused experience provided gameplay that harkened back to classic adventure titles made by LucasArts and Sierra Entertainment in the 80s and 90s, yet remained innovative enough to become something all its own..."
