CeX Review- The Walking Dead: Season Two

Added: 14.11.2014 21:12 | 8 views | 0 comments

Denis Murphy- During my recent review of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, I mentioned how I'm a huge fan of the classic point-and-click adventure titles. Though my main example during that review was Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars, I also really enjoyed virtually anything from LucasArts. Whether it was Sam Max Hit the Road, The Secret of Monkey Island or Full Throttle: Hell on Wheels, everything LucasArts released back in the day was literally perfect. Times changed though and the point-and-click adventure genre eventually went the way of the dinosaur.

A Cataclysmic Dawn: Scrapping Star Wars Canon

Added: 07.11.2014 13:11 | 7 views | 0 comments

EGMR writes: "In 2012, Disney acquired LucasFilm and LucasArts, along with the Star Wars franchise and all its licensed materials. Since then, theyve shut down LucasArts for all intents and purposes other than licensing, and declared that all material outside of the official film and televisions series (The Clone Wars and Rebels) is no longer part of the official canon of the series. This means decades of books, visual novels and video games no longer form part of the series, despite what inconsistencies it may create in the official franchise. Whether Disney has looked at exactly what is being cut or decided to take an axe to the Extended Universe in general is unknown, but the in the build-up to the seventh film, now officially named Ep. VII: The Force Awakens, certain cuts may prove beneficial or detrimental to the saga."

Tim Schafer Dreams Of An Open-World Grim Fandango Sequel

A sequel to Tim Schafer and co's classic skeleton noir LucasArts adventure, Grim Fandango? Be still, my non-beating heart. This is only an idea that's been kicking around in Schafer's skull for a while, but it's an exciting one nonetheless. And it's inspired by Grand Theft Auto, of all things.

GameGrin's Andrew Duncan writes: "Many people have heard of the dread pirate LeChuck, scourge of the Caribbean - more specifically the tri-island area. Of course, he has been killed several times since he first took to the seas a while before The Secret of Monkey Island rolled around, published by LucasArts in 1990, which is why Im writing about him."
