Avoiderdragon: Last year, we got some notable horror titles like Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Outlast, although it later turned out that A Machine for Pigs was more of The Chinese Rooms shenanigans than scares, and Outlast was much scarier (although obnoxiously so). The former seemed like it disappeared, while the latter is still going strong and has just received a DLC, as if it needed one to get any scarier.

E3 2014: CyberPower PC Shows Off Syber PC Console for Big Picture Mode [Video]

Maximum PC: Let's just come out and say it -- Valve dropped the ball with its Steam Machine initiative. Rather than let its hardware vendors run with their own brand Steam Machines that they've been developing for the past year, Valve decided to delay things until next year while it tweaks its Steam Controller, an integral component of any machine that might use the "Steam Machine" designation. That decision left OEMs and boutique system builders in an awkward place, but rather than let their hardware designs collect dust, we're seeing them reborn as Windows-based PC consoles that boot right into Steam Big Picture mode. The newest PC console to take this approach is CyberPowerPC's Syber system. Let's have a look.

Experienced Points Wolfenstein is Better Than it Needs to Be

Wolfenstein: The New Order is better than it has any right to be. It could have been a pile of tired gameplay and schlocky plot, and the defense would have been, "Hey, it's just a game about shooting Nazis based on a game from 1992. What did you expect?" The devs could have phoned it in. But the team at Machine Games wasn't content with giving us an unending corridor of Bad Guys to mow down so they could ride the Wolfenstein name to the middle of the sales charts. I don't know if anyone has ever expected anything particularly remarkable from this franchise. You're expected to have Nazis, guns, and a few different ways to combine them for cheap, guilt-free visceral thrills. But instead they tried to make something special.
