Its been more than a month since Valve officially announced its Steam gaming machines. Though the Steam Machine isnt scheduled to be launched until 2014, more details continue to emerge with a first look at Valves Steam Machine prototype being revealed this past week. To make things a bit teresting, Valve has registered the domain name SteamStatic.com. The name was privately registered through Network Solutions earlier this month, but the WHOIS record clearly shows Valve Corporation as the registrant. The only information that is marked private is contact information like the email address.

Sergei Lazarev writes:
"Its been a great year for the horror genre, especially on the PC. While long-running AAA titles flounder to stay relevant, smaller indie games have come out from the shadows to scare the living daylights out of us. Games like Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Outlast have taught us the meaning of dread once again.
Before the year ends, were treated to yet another indie title based on the popular Slender Man meme. Can a game based on this simple idea be both terrifying and satisfying?"
