Super Mario Maker: Let's Play and Make

Added: 03.09.2015 5:17 | 18 views | 0 comments

Adam Cook: "Super Mario Maker is the game thatll make you smile the most this year. At least thats what I say in my review. But Colm and I got together this past weekend, and played a bit of it on camera, which you can see a kind-of super-cut of, below. Colm is more of a Sonic man, so I talked him through some of my created levels, before he goes online and plays other games media created courses. Then we make a level. Well, he does. Badly. Sort of. Just watch, and know his rage was even funnier in person."

Or should I just say: Are you playing Metal Gear Solid V right now?

September is overflowing with the bounty of games, starting off with both Mad Max and Metal Gear Solid V which released just yesterday. Our reviewers are diligently getting through both games as we speak. Strangely enough, we've already got reviews up for both Super Mario Maker and Tearaway Unfolded which release within two weeks. Jonathan is zipping through Forza Motorsport 5 too.

Pillars of Eternity - The White March: Part 1 Review (GameWatcher)

From GameWatcher: "Obsidian has taken a nostalgic trip back to the tundra for Pillars of Eternitys first major piece of DLC, and the frozen setting isnt the only thing in The White March Part One that brings to mind the combat-focused games of the Icewind Dale series. The focus here is firmly on battle, exploration and looting; that means that a little of the character and mystery of the main game is lost, but theres still plenty of fun to be had."

DC: Nintendo does game creation its own way... only this time, you're directly involved. Its been done before, certainly, and with a respectable degree of tact and deliberation, to boot. But its never been done by Nintendo, in that Nintendo kind of way, with all the polish and charm and delightful balance between complexity and accessibility on which the developer prides themselves.

DTOID: I can still remember the first time I played Syndicate. It was after school in late 1993, and I was messing around on an office computer while waiting for my mother to finish a meeting and take me home. I remember the cool mission music, and largely fumbling through the first few missions, my nine-year-old brain not quite grasping the subtleties of controlling multiple characters, much less ones that weren't Mario or Luigi! But the experience stuck with me through the years.
