13 Amazing Things We Learned From the Halo 5 Trailer

Added: 15.04.2015 1:17 | 5 views | 0 comments

Spartan Locke

Spartan Locke got his own teaser trailer, just like Master Chief. Locke is a new character that should give us a fresh perspective on John-117.

Locke shows up on Master Chief's radar as an ally

Enemies appear red on the radar in Halo, but in Locke's case, he appears yellow. Yellow indicates a friendly in the Halo series.

Master Chief statue

A statue for John-117 is built in his honor on the battered planet. At one point, Master Chief was clearly lauded in his return.

A scorched world

It appears that the war has come to Master Chief's world. In the ravaged land, the only thing left standing is the statue.

Master Chief's statue is different in each trailer

The Master Chief trailer shows the statue dedicated to him has part of its head missing. Could this be symbolic of John's loss of Cortana?

Dual playable characters

In your hunt for the truth, Halo 5 looks to borrow from its predecessor, Halo 2, with two protagonists.

Spartan Locke blames Master Chief

Spartan Locke's version of the truth is that he attributes the war-torn world to Master Chief's betrayal.

Master Chief's wound is fresh

In Agent Locke's trailer, Master Chief is seen laying on the ground with a huge hole in his left shoulder. Due to the smoking coming from his now non-existent shoulder, the wound must be fresh. Maybe it was from Locke?

Master Chief and Spartan Locke face off

Both trailers build to a conclusion of a showdown between Master Chief and Spartan Locke, but is there a bigger bad guy out there?

"Duty and honor above all"

While Master Chief suffers from an apparent gunshot wound, you can clearly see his statue engraved with the words "duty and honor above all." Fitting for the Halo hero.

The UNSC Infinity has seen better days

The Navy warship that Colonel Lasky was left in charge of at the end of Halo 4 isn't doing so hot. The ship's on fire from whatever attacked the planet.

#HuntTheTruth

There's an old saying, there's two sides to every story--and then there's the truth. With both trailers premiering an hour after each other, is one of the depictions the truth?

Finally, a release date

The long-awaited release of the Xbox One exclusive Halo 5: Guardians was confirmed for an Oct. 27 release at the conclusion of both trailers.

Tony Polanco from The Koalition writes: "On tonights episode we welcome special guest Andrew Dickman. Andrew is a YouTube personality and an animator who is a devout geek. We ask him about his career, including his stint on Channel Awesome, his current channel: Electronic Heroes, about his webcomic: The Roomies and much more. Not much happened in gaming this past week. Since thats the case, we focus the gaming part on two interesting developments within our ranks. First up, Brian, our resident PC Master Racer, has bought a PlayStation 4. He gives us his impressions of the console and reveals the third mystery game he purchased along with Bloodborne (which came with the system) and Grand Theft Auto V. Speaking of Bloodborne, your humble host recently purchased the game and is actually enjoying it despite his original misgivings."

Gaudream Brings Flappy Bird Style Action to the Sega Master System

Added: 11.04.2015 9:17 | 2 views | 0 comments

Carl Williams writes, "Flappy Bird is this generations game that just wont go away and it seems everyone has to release their take on it. During the 16-Bit era it was fighting games, 32-Bit it was 3D fighting games and 3D action platform titles. In todays mobile market it is Flappy Bird. Flappy freaking Bird. A simple reactionary title that requires you to literally use one button to play. Not require, that is not a good word, no, Flappy Bird and its clones only allow one button to be used. The screen automatically scrolls and you simply tap the button to make your bird, block, and ship, or whatever, go up and then the illusion of gravity brings it back down. You are required to avoid an obstacle that approaches from the right side of the screen. Simple."
