Halo 5 Guardians Console is an Eyesore

Katie joell from Gamerscore Shores writes "Do not be fooled by the press images Microsoft have been showing regarding the Halo 5 Guardians Console bundle. The machine boasts a custom soundboard and visual look that had myself drooling no less than 48 hours ago. Flash forward to today and the console was on show at the Xbox booth at Gamescom and that very drooling turned into a dry mouth. The console and controller with the human eye looks almost nicotine like on one side and the print work done on the controller from close up looks cheap and tacky. Microsoft have done some great consoles in the past, but this one just isnt one of them."

| Crackdown 3 Gamescom hands-on preview: Stunning cloud-based destruction
Added: 06.08.2015 20:18 | 1 views | 0 comments
For, years 'the cloud' has been touted as the next revolutionary thing, when really it's just the internet. Your photos aren't stored on a mythical techno cloud they're stored on someone else's server that you can access through the web. 'The cloud' as a marketing term has been around for a while, making many audiences groan whenever it's mentioned. At Gamescom 2015, however, during a demo of long-awaited Xbox One sequel Crackdown 3, IBTimes UK was blown away by the applications of it for the first time.
At its press conference for the event, Microsoft showed off the game in action (see the video below) and its multiplayer section, which uses cloud servers to render the map's many buildings fully destructible. This total destruction is limited to a separate multiplayer mode; the campaign itself which can be played co-op with four players will not feature destructible buildings in the same way.

MGL: Gamescom has seen even more fantastic games shown and the Microsoft showing at the Xbox Briefing really was something to admire.
After showing off some great games at E3 we were all happy but following that up with amazing gameplay from Quantum Break the TV show running alongside it. Epic action in Scalebound, a mix of action game and RPG that looks great already. Then you see Crackdown 3 on the Microsoft Cloud with a 100% destructible city, you have to stand up and say that is something special.

Back in 2013 when the Xbox One was announced there was a mixed reaction from fans worldwide. We started off by seeing that Microsoft were going for more of a casual living room console that really would fit in well and centre your home entertainment centre, it was marketed as the Xbox all-in-one. A lot of gamers were upset that Microsoft were seemingly trying to push them away from their console in favour of a more entertainment system. There was also controversy surrounding the always online state of the console and a lot of people were unhappy when pairing this with the Kinect, worrying that they would be watched by the system and monitored in a way.
